PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man accused of breaking into the bedrooms of two teenage girls is going to prison.

Juan Carlos Lagunas-Garcia pleaded no contest Monday to charges of sex abuse and burglary with the threat of injury.

He was arrested June 8 when detectives said DNA evidence led them to him in connection with an incident on May 31 on Northeast Davis in Portland.

In that case, investigators said he broke into a home and then inappropriately touched himself. The victim woke up screaming and the man ran off.

He was also accused of confronting two teenage girls in their bedrooms last year. In all three cases, investigators said he got in through open windows.

In 2011, he broke into a 14-year-old girl's room on Cherry Blossom Drive and then a 17-year-old girl's room a few months later on Southeast 112th and Division.

He was sentenced to 17 years behind bars Monday and he must also register as a sex offender. The district attorney said he will be deported once he's out of prison.
