Hillsboro PD uses new car, video games to connect with school kids

HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

A partnership with Dick's Auto Group has provided the Hillsboro Police Youth Services Unit with a new tool to connect with school age kids.

A specially outfitted Ford Flex equipped with a big screen monitor, X-Box game system and sound system will be used at youth events, community events and parades.

The Youth Services Unit hopes the vehicle will help connect with kids and teach them about safety and the dangers of gangs, drugs and alcohol.
