PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
If your evening commute takes you from Interstate 5 southbound to Interstate 405 southbound, here's a heads up.
Emergency repairs Tuesday will close the right lane of I-5 southbound to the top deck of the Fremont Bridge (Interstate 405 southbound).
The closure will run from noon to 8 p.m. During that time, crews will fix a bridge joint breaking loose from the concrete on the on-ramp to the Fremont Bridge.
ODOT officials said drivers should expect congestion and avoid I-5 south near the I-405 interchange, especially during the evening commute.
