PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A wrong-way driver crashed on Highway 26 near the Oregon Zoo exit ahead of the morning rush hour Thursday.
Emergency dispatchers said the driver started heading eastbound in the westbound lanes.
Several people called 911 as the car crashed around 4:30 a.m.
There were no major injuries in the wreck.
After investigating, Portland police said they arrested 22-year-old Eric Lovato on charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving.
Lovato's car was towed away and the highway lanes reopened around 6:30 a.m.
Though Lovato was booked into jail, a mug shot was not immediately available at the Multnomah County Jail website.
