Washed out bridge replaced along Highway 35

HOOD RIVER, OR (KPTV) -

Crews have finished work on the White River Bridge, nearly six years after heavy rain and debris wiped it out. On Friday, crews celebrated a job well done as work on the new Hwy 35 Bridge wrapped up, ODOT said.

Back in 2006, a warm rain storm sent a massive mud flow down the White River Canyon near Hood river. The mud flow wiped out the Hwy 35 Bridge.

Crews worked tirelessly for the following month to clean up the mess. They've been working to replace the bridge ever since.
