George Fox documents home moved off campus

Posted: Updated:

George Fox University recently donated a home on campus to Habitat For Humanity and then documented its move across town.

A group of volunteers helped move the 800-square-foot home last Sunday more than three miles to its new neighborhood in Newberg.

The university had owned the home since 1975, using it as staff housing and a dorm.

The house was named "The Skyles House" in honor of Don and Sharon Skyles, who lived in it from 1990 to 2007.

Habitat for Humanity is currently in the process of selecting a recipient to live in the home.
