PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
More than 100 employers will be out hiring veterans in Portland today.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and The American Legion are hosting "Hiring Our Heroes" job fair for Vets and military spouses.
The event is being held at Veterans Memorial Coliseum on North Wheeler, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Walk-in job seekers are allowed (veterans must provide military ID).
Hiring Our Heroes has held more than 330 hiring fairs nationwide, helping more than 14,000 veterans and military spouses find employment since March 2011.
This event is part of "Hiring 500,000 Heroes" a national campaign announced by the U.S. Chamber, National Chamber Foundation, and Capital One, to engage the business community to committing to hire 500,000 veterans and military spouses by 2014.
