PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A construction crew hit a gas line while digging in downtown Portland, requiring firefighters to shut down an intersection and freeway offramp Wednesday morning.
Portland firefighters said there were no evacuations around the gas leak at Southwest Fourth Avenue and Lincoln Street. Fire crews closed the intersection there, as well as the exit from Interstate 405 to Fourth Avenue.
Northwest Natural responded and found a two-inch gas line had been damaged.
Firefighters said they cleared the incident by 10:15 a.m.
