City council approves new Portland police car purchase

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police will be getting 47 new patrol cars.

The city council agreed to replace the current police sedans with Chevrolet Caprice cars.

The bill adds up to almost $1.5 million, but the cost is within the budget for the upcoming year.

The city plans on buying the cars from Hubbard Chevrolet.
