Police: Nearly naked man broke into Lake Oswego home

A man accused of breaking into a Lake Oswego home wearing only a jacket has turned himself in to police.

Investigators said Chandler Olson, 36, was nearly naked when he got in through a small window at the front of a house in the Palisades Crest neighborhood at 3 a.m. Nov. 4.

Police said he entered a room where two underage girls were sleeping and pulled the blankets off of them.

That woke the girls up and one of them screamed, according to police. That woke up the adult members of the family, but investigators said Olson ran out of the home and took a laptop computer with him.

Investigators developed a suspect in the case quickly, based on a previous similar crime. Detectives then learned their suspect had fled the state.

On Thursday, Lake Oswego police said Olson had turned himself in on Nov. 10. He is now charged with burglary, theft and sex abuse, as well as a detainer for a parole violation.
