CORVALLIS, OR (KPTV) -

A simple traffic stop in Corvallis ended in a bribery investigation.

Wednesday morning, police say 40-year-old Brian Henshaw was pulled over for running a stop sign at the corner of Northwest Jackson Avenue and Northwest 28th Street. As the officer was issuing the citation, Henshaw is accused of offering him money in exchange for not writing the ticket. The officer refused and Henshaw was allowed to go on his way.

The officer, however, reported the bribe immediately. An investigation ensued and Henshaw was arrested that afternoon at his place of work. He was booked for bribe giving, a felony charge.
