SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Salem police detectives and U.S. marshals arrested a 23-year-old Salem man Thursday in connection with a shooting outside the 501 Cantina.

Salem police said four people were wounded in the Nov. 10 shooting at 3255 Portland Rd. NE.

Officers who responded found one victim in the parking lot, and he was rushed to a hospital to be treated. His wounds were initially believed to be life-threatening, but he survived the shooting.

During the investigation, two other victims went to Salem Hospital to seek treatment for gunshot wounds, and the fourth victim was also contacted by police later in the weekend.

As detectives continued to investigate, they identified James Dentel as the suspect. Dentel already had a parole violation warrant out for his arrest.

On Thursday, U.S. marshals tracked down Dentel in Portland and arrested him. He now faces charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
