Food drive planned for Portland tree lighting ceremony

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Attendants at the annual tree lighting ceremony in downtown Portland can help feed the needy this holiday season.

Pioneer Courthouse Square has partnered with Oregon Food Bank to collect nonperishable food items at the tree lighting the day after Thanksgiving. The groups also launched a text to donate campaign, with the goal of raising $10,000. Donations of $10 can be made by texting "OFB" to 20222.
