PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a car in southeast Portland on Tuesday night.
It happened at around 6:45 p.m. at Southeast 82nd Avenue near Raymond Court. Investigators said the teen ran across the street from the Fred Meyer store and was hit by a car.
Police said the driver immediately stopped to deliver medical aid to the boy. Officers said drugs, alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash. No citations have been issued.
The teen was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition Wednesday morning.
Investigators said he was with another young man at the time, but that boy ran away from the scene.
