Time is running out to stock up on everything you need for tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast.
Many grocery stores around the Portland-metro area are expecting large crowds today, especially during the afternoon hours when people head home from work.
FOX 12 spoke with several shoppers inside the Fred Meyer store in Beaverton. Several customers arrived at the store shortly after it opened at 7 a.m. in hopes of beating the afternoon crowds.
"I thought it would be less busy if I came first thing. And I was right," said Christine Hays with a laugh.
Some stores might be closing early today because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Other stores may not be open tomorrow. So experts say it's a good idea to call the store ahead of time to make sure they're still open. Many stores also post their holiday hours online.
