WASHINGTON, DC (KPTV) -
The Oregon State University men's basketball team enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast with the first family Thursday.
First lady Michelle Obama invited the men's basketball team and her brother, coach Craig Robinson, to spend the holiday at the White House.
Robinson had tried to schedule a game in Washington for the holiday, but couldn't find a team to play against. That's when the first lady stepped in and invited the entire team to the White House.
On Wednesday, Robinson and the team joined President Barack Obama and the first lady in a day of service, volunteering at a food bank in the Washington area. They filled bags with food for families in need.
The team then got to have some fun, taking a few shots on the official White House basketball court.
The team flew back to Portland after dinner Thursday and will be back on the court Sunday in Corvallis taking on Montana State.
