PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A man was hit and killed by a truck Thursday night on Southeast 82nd Avenue in Portland.
It happened just before 6:30 p.m. between Boyer Road and Causey Avenue. Police said the man tried to cross 82nd when he was hit by a pickup.
Witnesses described the traffic as heavy at the time of the collision. The man was taken to the hospital and died later in the evening.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No citations have been issued.
Troopers are continuing to investigate.
