PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Oregon State Police troopers made 47 DUII arrests during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
That total is actually down considerably from last year, when troopers made 72 DUII arrests across the state over the same period of time.
This year, five command offices reported three or more DUII arrests. The Bend-area office had eight, while the Portland-area and Springfield-area offices each made six such arrests.
Twelve of the arrests were made on Saturday.
OSP troopers also reported 47 DUII arrests for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in 2010 and 53 in 2009.
