BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Police are looking for a man who attacked another man with a baseball bat. The attack happened early Monday morning at the Plaid Pantry on Walker Road in Beaverton.

The victim got into a car with a man and a woman in Downtown Portland around 4 a.m., investigators said. The man drove west to Beaverton and eventually stopped in the parking lot of the Plaid Pantry.

The group got out of the car, and that's when the man grabbed a baseball bat and hit the victim in the arm, Washington County Deputies said. Then the attacker and the woman drove away.

The victim suffered a fractured arm. He managed to call 911 from a nearby Shiloh Inn, and paramedics took him to the hospital.

Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the assault. They're also trying to figure out how the victim knew his attacker.

Deputies described the attacker as a skinny black man. His passenger is described as a white, heavy set woman. They're asking anyone with information to call the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
