SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers, with the help of Marion County deputies, arrested two women early Tuesday morning in connection with a hit-and-run in northeast Salem.

It all started at about 12:15 a.m. when an OSP trooper tried to stop a car for a traffic violation on Portland Road near I-5, investigators said.

The driver refused to pull over and instead hit the gas, leading authorities on a chase along Salem and Keizer area roads at speeds near 80 mph, troopers said.

The car was involved in a crash with two other cars at the intersection of Silverton Rd NE and Fisher Rd NE, FOX 12 learned.

No one was hurt, but the eluding car continued eastbound from the crash scene until it came to a stop in the 4100 block of Silverton Rd NE.

OSP troopers and deputies then took 29-year-old Rosalind Garcia, of Keizer, and 30-year-old Lisa Alcala, of Salem, into custody.

Both women were wanted on outstanding warrants and lodged in the Marion County Jail, troopers said.

Garcia faces numerous charges including DUII, criminal mischief, misdemeanor hit and run, reckless driving, and felony attempt to elude in a vehicle.

She was also cited for driving while suspended.

Garcia had a warrant out for her arrest for unlawful delivery and a possession of methamphetamine.

Alcala was arrested on a warrant for a parole violation.
