PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A reward is being offered to track down the man who sexually assaulted a student outside a Portland State University dorm.

The 27-year-old woman told police she was walking to her dorm near Southwest 10th and Yamhill when a man hit her over the head. She said the next thing she remembers is waking up in an alley behind the dorm building.

Investigators said the attack happened sometime between 2:30 and 3 a.m.

Police describe the attacker as a white man in his mid 30s, 6' tall and 180 pounds with shaggy light brown hair, pronounced cheekbones, and unshaven face and rough hands.

The victim told investigators the man smelled like sawdust and was very twitchy, as if he was under the influence of an intoxicant.

The woman said she did not know the attacker.

A sketch of the suspect has been released and Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward in the case.
