WOODLAND, WA (KPTV) -

Friends and family held a candlelight vigil for Samantha Effingham in Woodland on Tuesday night.

A car crash near Ridgefield killed Effingham last Friday afternoon.  Washington state police said Effingham was the passenger in a car driven by Ryan Matison. He ran a flashing stop light and crashed into a pickup truck.

Effingham was wearing her seatbelt, but died at the scene.

Friends at the vigil said Effingham was an unforgettable girl who had lived a full and meaningful life.

Support poured in for her twin brother, Thomas, who said he and his sister were inseparable since birth.

"Outstanding, funny, just caring, just every good thing out there she was," Thomas Effingham said.

"The outpouring of love was just overwhelming.  And how many people's lives one person could touch without even knowing it," said Sally and Gary Morrison, Effingham's grandparents.

A fund to help Effingham's family with funeral expenses is set up at Fibre Community Credit Union under her name.

Meanwhile, police said charges are pending against the driver.
