AUMSVILLE, OR (KPTV) -

A man accused of putting a video camera inside the women's bathroom at an Aumsville church has pleaded guilty in court.

Christopher Fowler pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of encouraging child sex abuse and invasion of privacy.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 20.

Detectives arrested Fowler in May. They said he worked as a youth leader at the Bethel Baptist Church up until his arrest, while also serving as a janitor at the church.

Investigators said the video camera was discovered in December 2011. Fowler's computers and hard drives were seized and investigators said they found videos of people in the bathroom at the church, as well as thousands of images of child pornography.

Investigators said at the time of his arrest that there's no indication Fowler physically abused anyone.
