$1,000 reward offered in robbery at Portland department store

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police are trying to track down a man caught on camera at a Northeast Portland store who they say threatened employees with a knife.

Officers responded to the Kohl's department store on Northeast Halsey about 8 p.m. on Oct. 27.

Loss prevention officers told police that the suspect threatened them with a knife after they confronted him about shoplifting.

The suspect then ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as an African American man in his early 20s, 5'6" tall and 160 pounds.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark sweatshirt with a red Air Jordan emblem on the front and a baseball cap backwards.

Police released surveillance pictures of the man they're looking for on Wednesday.
