Man pleads guilty to hit-and-run

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A man accused of killing a woman in a hit-and-run incident changed his plea Wednesday.

James Collins pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and hit-and-run. He will now spend more than four years in prison.

In May, Collins reportedly hit Maria Delos-Carrasco Angulo, 25, on Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver. Witnesses said the crosswalk signal was blinking and that Angulo was in the crosswalk when a silver car came speeding out of nowhere.

Collins allegedly left the scene, but some bystanders followed his car to a house and police arrested him there.
