A rare look at a pregnant elephant's ultrasound

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Have you ever seen a pregnant elephant's ultrasound?

The Oregon Zoo said Rose Tu still had not entered active labor Wednesday, but an ultrasound did show the baby elephant's feet.

The zoo's medical staff said the feet were beginning to enter the birth canal and it's a very good sign, because baby elephants are supposed to enter the world feet-first.

The baby has been active, while Rose Tu has remained comfortable and calm through the process. Rose Tu has been pregnant for 22 months and the baby elephant could be born any day now.
