Driver killed in single vehicle crash near Estacada

ESTACADA, OR (KPTV) -

A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Estacada late Thursday evening.

The man was found dead and partially ejected from his 2000 Ford Ranger pickup truck on SE Lawrence Rd. near SE Coupland Rd., according to the Clackamas County sheriff's department.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and according to sheriff's deputies, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death will be determined by the Clackamas County medical examiner.

The man's identity has yet to be released, pending notification of his family.
