Sunday night friends and family of a Portland man murdered two years ago gathered to mark the two-year anniversary of the killing.
The family placed flowers and a photograph of the victim, Randy Willard, Jr., at southeast 72nd and Powell, not far from the home where Willard was killed.
"The not knowing why, not knowing who, just eats at you day-to-day," said the victim's father, Randy Willard, Sr. "I don't know, it's just one of those things I wish, at the time the there's are all these wishes, I just wish I knew more about what was going on at his life at the time."
On Dec. 2, 2010, at about 2:30 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to the 3500 block of Southeast 72nd Avenue after a neighbor called 9-1-1 to report loud sounds coming from Willard's duplex.
When officers arrived they found Willard, 32, had been shot to death.
No arrests have been made in this case and detectives would like to hear from anyone with information about Willard's death.
They told FOX 12 they believe his death was not random.
Investigators also say Willard had only lived at the duplex for a few days before his murder. They would like to talk to anyone who was inside the home, specifically in the 24 hours before Willard's body was discovered.
"The business he was involved in, meant he had a lot of customers, and so some of those customers would have come over, so those are the people we want to talk to," said homicide detective Chris Traynor.
