BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
A man is facing assault charges after investigators said he hit an off-duty police officer in the face.
It happened early Saturday morning at the Dublin Pub in Beaverton.
Investigators said Jeffery Schultze was inappropriately touching a woman.
That's when Officer Peter Dalton asked him to stop.
Police said just as Dalton was leaving, Schultze smashed his pint glass into the side of Dalton's head.
Dalton immediately brought Schultze to the ground and held him down until officers got there to arrest him.
He suffered some serious cuts to his face, but is expected to be fine.
