Vancouver police have recovered the car of a man wanted in a kidnapping and attempted murder case.

The black Nissan belonging to Pedro Godinez Jr. was found empty in a parking lot between the Motel 6 and Extended Stay hotels on Northeast Chaklov Drive Saturday. The car and Godinez were caught on surveillance cameras in the area.

He is accused of robbing and then shooting Freddy Landstrom in the head, shoulder, hands, elbow and abdomen last week.

The victim survived and managed to stumble to a house at Kadow's Marina, where police and paramedics found him.

Investigators say Joanna Speaks invited Landstrom to her apartment and set him up for her boyfriend to rob him, according to court documents.

Police said Godinez forced Landstrom to drive at gunpoint to Lower River Road near Kadow's Marina and then robbed him and shot him.

Speaks was arrested and faces charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery.

Godinez remains on the loose.

He's described as Hispanic, 5'10" and 220 pounds with closely shaved black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo that says "Mariana" on the right side of his head and a tattoo that says "Monica" on the right side of his neck. He also has tattoos that say "Baby" on his right forearm and "Silent" on his left forearm.

Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
