STEVENSON, WA (KPTV) -

A former teacher and soccer coach is behind bars, accused of kidnapping and tying up a woman before sexually assaulting her.

Hood River police said Donald McAndie is charged with five measure 11 crimes including kidnapping, sex abuse and rape.

The allegations are severe and disturbing.

Detectives are not releasing many details, only that the victim is in her late 30s, and that McAndie had taken her somewhere in Hood River, possibly on Halloween, and secretly confined her in a place where she was not likely to be found.

Police arrested him last month and McAndie is now in the Northern Oregon Regional Corrections Facility in The Dalles.

Fox 12 has learned that this isn't the first time McAndie has been accused of this type of behavior.

Detectives said he was a biology teacher and soccer coach at Stevenson High School in the 90s.

He resigned in 2001 when allegations surfaced that he was tying up and touching multiple girls.

McAndie was never charged for those allegations.

Since then, he's been working as a hearing specialist in The Gorge, and his wife is a teacher at Stevenson High School.

Detectives said since his arrest, many people have come forward with stories of other inappropriate things they say he's done.

McAndie is being held on $100,000 bail.

His next court date is scheduled for January.
