Trial against corrections officer to wrap up today

TURNER, OR (KPTV) -

Prosecutors are expected to wrap up their case against anOregon State corrections officer accused of shooting at two other officers Wednesday. The trial for Michael Yann got under way on Tuesday.

Prosecutors accuse Yann of opening fire on two Turner Policeofficers back in April. Investigators say he was drunk when the shooting happenedoutside his home on Seventh Street.

Neither of the Turner officers was injured by the gunfire. They did not return fire because Yann's wife was in the way. Detectives said they finally got Yann to surrender after a three-hour standoff.
