The recent rainy weather has a neighborhood in Clackamas concerned about unstable ground.
Neighbors said the banks of Sieben Creek have been eroding for year, and early Wednesday a big tree slid down the bluff - right behind a woman's home - and left a gaping hole right next to her mobile home.
"(My home) could be next," said Barbara Stephens, a longtime resident who lives next to the affected property. "And then where would we go?"
Dozens of homes in the Shadowbrook retirement community back up to the creek, and several residents said they are worried about what could happen to their homes. The slide knocked out some utilities for some residents and the Red Cross is assisting them.
A property manager declined to comment.
