Michael Yann
TURNER, OR (KPTV/AP) -
Guilty.
That's the verdict for a man who worked as an Oregon Department of Corrections officer accused of shooting at two Turner police officers.
A judge convicted Michael Yann on charges including attempted aggravated murder and unlawful use of a firearm yesterday.
Yann had been drinking this past April when the officers responded to a report he was staggering down the road.
He ran inside his house and fired several shots at the officers, who were not hurt.
Yann surrendered after a standoff that lasted several hours.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 11.
