PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Early Thursday morning, workers from JCPenney went to work in Pioneer Courthouse Square armed with 1,000 poinsettias.
The result is a 35 foot by 35 foot mural that spells out the word "JOY."
Once it was complete at 10:30 a.m., the workers handed out free poinsettias to visitors.
A musical theater class from Union High School in Camas joined in the festivities by performing to holiday music.
