PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Police arrested three people after a car chase ended with spike strips and a traffic jam on Interstate 205 Thursday.
Officers were called to a disturbance report at the Laurel Place Apartments at Southeast 125th and Powell Boulevard at about 5:40 p.m. involving two men with guns.
Police said when they arrived, a vehicle with the suspects inside took off. Officers tried to stop the car at 125th and Holgate, but it sped away.
Officers confirmed someone tossed a gun out of the suspect vehicle on Airport Way.
The chase continued onto I-205 north to Northeast Killingsworth Street, where officers used spike strips to deflate the suspects' tires. Officers then spun the suspects' car out to bring the pursuit to an end.
Police arrested Kevin Reinhard, 20, Shawn Keele, 26, and Chelsea Scott, 22, on charges of meth possession. Keele and Reinhard were also charged with additional felony crimes, including firearms violations.
All three suspects were booked into the Multnomah County Jail. They're set to be arraigned on Friday.
A gun thrown from the car during the chase was found on Airport Way between the ramp to the departure gates and arrival gates at Portland International Airport, police said.
There are no reports of any injuries related to the chase.
