Armored car employee robbed in NE Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police responded this morning to reports of a robbery at Onpoint Credit Union on Northeast Ninth Avenue.

An armored car employee told police she was walking from the armored car to the ATM when a man came out of nowhere and grabbed two cases of money and ran northbound on Ninth Avenue.

The cases are described as 18 inches by 8 inches and hard black plastic, similar to shoe boxes.

The suspect is described as a man in his early to mid 20s, 6' tall, thin build, dark colored jacket with a sports team logo and a hood up, wearing white gloves.

The victim was not hurt in the robbery and no weapons were used.

If you have any information about the robber you are asked to contact Portland police.
