PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
The new president and chief executive officer of the Portland Trail Blazers is shaking up the front office.
The team confirmed Thursday that three executives have been laid off.
They are Gregg Olson, chief financial officer, Michele Daterman, senior vice president of tickets and marketing, and Traci Reandeau, senior vice president of human resources.
The moves come less than a month after Chris McGowan assumed the role of the team's new president and CEO. In a statement, McGowan said the "management layers" of the organization needed to be streamlined because they were excessive compared to other sports franchises.
Chief Operating Officer Sarah Mensah resigned from her position at the end of November after 19 years with the Blazers.
