SWAT team clears scene of Vancouver standoff

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A SWAT team responded to a west Vancouver home Friday afternoon where a man wanted on domestic violence charges was holed up inside.

Officers said they first responded to the home at West 33rd Avenue and Olive Street around 1:30 p.m.

They said the man was believed to be alone in the house and possibly armed.

Within one hour, emergency dispatchers said, the man was taken into custody and police were clearing the scene.
