CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Investigators are looking for the suspect who punched an elderly man in the face at a local fast food restaurant.

Clackamas County sheriff's deputies said it happened at a Wendy's at southeast 82nd and Monterey, near Clackamas Town Center, around 1 p.m. Friday.

They said the victim, a man in his late 70s, was having lunch when a man came up to him and asked for money.

When the victim refused, the man yelled at the victim and then punched him in the face.

"He had a stroke last year, about December. And so his balance is off and the hit knocked him out of the chair," said Jamie Thiem, the victim's granddaughter.  "I was horrified that somebody would hit an elderly man over spare change. (It) just makes me sick."

Police say a similar attack happened about 30 minutes before in the Clackamas Town Center parking lot.

If you know anything about these attacks, call the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
