GRAND RONDE, OR (KPTV) -
Oregon State Police are continuing the investigation into the death of a woman who was struck by a pickup Monday at about 5 p.m. on Highway 18 in Grand Ronde.
Preliminary information from Lt. Eric Davenport suggests the victim and a female companion were near the Fort Hill Restaurant attempting to cross Highway 18 when the incident occurred.
The victim, a 57-year-old woman, was struck by an eastbound pickup driven by an adult male. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's female companion who was attempting to cross with her was not injured. The pickup's driver also escaped injury and is fully cooperating with investigators.
OSP troopers from the McMinnville Area Command office are continuing the investigation.
