PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A woman was hit and killed by a truck in southwest Portland on Tuesday morning.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m. at Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and Shattuck Road.
Police identified the woman as Mara Rosanne Forsythe-Crane, 27, of Portland.
Investigators said she was in a crosswalk with the "walk" signal on when the driver, Michal Albino, 42, of Portland, turned right from Shattuck Road into the crosswalk and hit her. He was driving a large box truck.
The driver continued past the corner, according to police, but returned to the scene and has cooperated with investigators. Officers said alcohol was not a factor and no citations have been issued at this time.
The intersection remained closed for several hours after the collision.
