CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Clark County deputies are trying to track down a man involved in a hit-and-run crash.

Deputies said they tried to stop Jesse France, 28, of Vancouver, for speeding at around 8 p.m. Monday on Northeast 78th street.

They said the driver took off and deputies didn't go after him.

Minutes later dispatch got a call of a wreck near Walnut Grove Elementary School.

Witnesses said the car, the same one deputies just tried to stop, hit a telephone pole and the driver fled on foot.

Deputies said a witness tried to follow the driver and that suspect pulled a handgun on the witness.

Investigators used a K-9 unit to try and find France but didn't have any luck.

Anyone with Information on Jesse's whereabouts is encouraged to call 911.
