PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
The roads are clear for the morning commute in the Portland metro area, but there are still plenty of school closures and delays to speak of in other parts of Oregon.
FOX 12 meteorologists expect a rainy morning, with wind picking up around noon Wednesday, and then the strongest rain arriving around 10 p.m.
Ahead of Wednesday, the Portland Bureau of Transportation warned that the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for snow from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the north Willamette Valley in Oregon and the Interstate 5 corridor in southwest Washington. The National Weather Service said a few locations toward eastern Clark County could see two or three inches of snow overnight.
But FOX 12 meteorologists said sticking snow was unlikely in the lowlands of the metro area.
On the Weather Blog, Mark Nelsen wrote Wednesday looks "very windy and very wet."
