A Beaverton softball coach is accused of sexually abusing an underage girl and investigators worry there could be more victims.
Deputies arrested 38-year-old Jeremy Dickey last week.
Dickey is a coach with the "Beaverton Blaze" softball league. He's also a husband and father of two children.
Dickey was arraigned last Friday and now he's being held on charges of sexual abuse, sodomy and unlawful sexual penetration.
No one at Dickey's Beaverton home was willing to talk about his arrest on Tuesday.
Deputies took him into custody last week for allegedly having sex with a teenage girl.
A woman named "Rene," who wants to remain anonymous, contacted FOX 12 about Dickey and said the news of his arrest traveled fast in the softball community.
"It's just concerning to think this kind of thing could be going on out there", said Rene. "It's not the first time we've heard about coaches gone bad. It's a scary thing and I just want other parents to be aware of it."
Rene said her daughter played on Dickey's team for two years in the Beaverton Blaze softball league.
She wasn't suspicious of him then, but looking back, she says she remembers some odd behavior.
The minute Rene heard about Dickey's arrest, she sat down with her daughter.
"Yes, I absolutely had a conversation with her and asked her if anything inappropriate happened when she worked with the team. But she said no and that she had always felt comfortable," Rene said.
Sheriff's investigators said the alleged victim did not play on Dickey's softball team, but because of his involvement with other young girls, they are looking into the possibility of more victims.
Dickey is being held on $250,000 bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
