A man wanted for an armed robbery at a Kohl's department store in October was arrested by police as he left a neighborhood convenience store Monday.
Crime Stoppers released surveillance photos last month of a suspect accused of shoplifting from Kohl's on Northeast Halsey on Oct. 27. Security workers said the man threatened them with a knife when they confronted him and then he ran out of the store.
Tips to Crime Stoppers led to the identification of the suspect as Jimmy Duffey, 31.
On Monday, police arrested him for the crime.
Officers said they saw him leave a convenience store at Southeast 174th and Division at 11:25 a.m. When officers approached Duffey, they said he ran away. He was caught several blocks later and arrested.
Police said he was carrying a gun and two knives.
He is now charged with robbery, felon in possession of a firearm and interfering with a police officer.
