SWEET HOME, OR (KPTV) -
A bank robbery put Sweet Home High School into lockdown Thursday.
Sweet Home police were called out to reports of an armed bank robbery just after 10 a.m. at the Umpqua Bank on Main Street.
The suspect is described as a man wearing a baggy sweatshirt over a red T-shirt with blue jeans, white shoes and a face mask. He was also carrying a purse-like container, according to witnesses.
He was last seen running toward the downtown area.
While police searched for the suspect, Sweet Home High School was put in lockdown. The school is only a few blocks from the bank. The lockdown was lifted after 45 minutes.
