CANYONVILLE, OR (KPTV) -
Severe winter weather closed more than 30 miles of Interstate 5 in southern Oregon Thursday.
The Oregon Department of Transportation said I-5 was closed between Canyonville and Hugo, Exits 66-99. That section was open again by Thursday evening, even as snow continued to fall in the area.
Multiple crews with plows and graders were brought in from the Drain-Yoncalla and Central Point areas to assist Grants Pass crews.
Drivers in the area should expect lengthy delays. Chains are also required, according to ODOT.
