TILLAMOOK, OR (KPTV) -
A coastal highway was closed for four hours Thursday after two big rigs got stuck in the snow.
It happened on Highway 6 near the coast range summit in Tillamook County. The two trucks got stuck near Milepost 21 about 5:15 a.m.
Neither truck sustained any damage, but they both had to be towed out of deep snow in hazardous conditions before the roadway could reopen.
The Oregon Department of Transportation said 45 minutes before that, a tanker truck was involved in a minor crash 18 miles up the highway. About 100 gallons of diesel spilled and had to be cleaned up by hazmat crews.
