LANE COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -
A landslide will keep part of Highway 126 closed overnight in Lane County.
It happened Thursday at Milepost 24 between Walton and Mapleton. Geotechnical experts have determined the slide to be stable and the Oregon Department of Transportation will bring in a contractor Friday morning to clear the debris.
The highway is expected to open again Friday afternoon.
The detour using Poodle Creek Road and Highway 26 will remain in place until that time.
